Fabulous quality 1960s sequinned gown from world famous department store Harvey Nichols of Knightsbridge. The dress has absolutely superb construction and design details and is a classic 60s full length shift, slightly flared and A-line in shape with hundreds of iridescent sequins sewn across the bodice. The skirt is gathered and gently flares from the empire line belt detail. The colourful print is quirky and has an interesting floral pattern but upon close inspection is a discrete printed patchwork stitched design. The fabric is extremely tactile and soft to the touch. It has a wonderful sheen to it as well as a textual quality like a heavy gazar silk although it could be a very exclusive man-made fabric or a combination of the two.

The dress fastens to the rear with a central concealed zip and is fully lined in a quality green acetate. The condition of this dress is faultless with no issues of any note. It has a wonderful weight to it without being heavy and is a superb example of formalwear from the era. It will fit up to a UK size 10-12 or US 6-8.
